I finally said “F it” and went ahead and ordered the rear Mugen piece and I’m glad I did afterall. I was on the fence about it for the longest time because I wasn’t sure if I liked how it looked. Some pictures just made it look really gaudy and bulky and some just didn’t show how well it flowed, no matter how much I looked at it. At the same time, when I looked at the car from the side profile without the rear lip, it was missing something and didn’t flow properly… My OCD was getting hit big time LOL
Anyway, I ended up ordering from King Motorsports and they shipped it to me within a week. Super awesome service from them as expected. One of the other things I did in preparation for the rear lip is I added the red stripe back to the kit. I felt it would look weird without it and it complimented the front red garnish nicely. Not too much red, not too little…
Anyway, below are some quick unofficial pics because it’s been rainy and nasty all weekend… I might go out this week if the weather permits for better pics!
Thanos chin achieved.
I like how it continues the black downward and adds some continuity to the rear.
A closer look at it all.
The kit consists of 5 pieces. 2 white garnishes right on the backend of the wheel well, the 1 full black diffuser piece, 1 half black diffuser piece and 1 half of the black diffuser piece. The left/driver side is split into two for the piece that comes off for a tow hook if required.
A bit dirty in this pic, but I honestly can’t get enough… Just a few more pieces for the exterior to be complete for the most part!
Balanced. As all things should be.
I love how that saying pairs so well with Mugen and the look of the rear lip hahaha
Did you have any fitment issues with the install? I had to try my best to get close to perfect for the install
Yeah the rear was difficult for sure. It wouldn’t stay close without pulling down at the bottom. Had to play with it a bit but it still isn’t perfect perfect.
Yeah, same here. I’m thinking about having another go at it, just a slight adjust on the right side. I can’t seem to find 3M tape that was similar to what Mugen placed on the kit?? Any ideas? ..
I used the Gorilla Glue double sided tape and that worked decent. The key was that adhesive promoter that they included that I never was able to find. That worked great.
