Rolling Shots Compilation

Decided to go through some old rolling shots and put them all together. I always post a roller when I do a shoot as a teaser – they’re my favourite shots to do when we go on a shoot. I don’t know if this is going to be a series or a one-post kinda thing, so I won’t number this. I know I have a ton more… I’ll go through more when I can. I’m just trying to make up for all the days of missing posts.

It can be frustrating when most the shots are a bit blurry or whatever, but when you find THE ONE, it’s awesome. Rolling shots are also annoying – as those who have done them would know – because for some reason, when people behind us see us taking pics, they have the need to do several things: tailgate, do ricer revs or have the need to fly by us like a douche.I know what you’re thinking – we’re probably driving slow or we’re doing stupid shit – negative. We’re actually going over speed limit and we’re not really holding anybody up unless they want to speed. The douche in drivers tend to come out when they see cool shit going down. Rolling shots are classified as cool shit.

There have been a few times where the cars behind us will actually fall back until we’re doing taking the pictures and we’ll say thanks when we get our shots in. Those guys deserve a badge of coolness for doing that. I’d probably do the same – but once again – the douche in people gravitate towards cool shit.

If you’re one of those people with an inner douche that likes to ruin shit, I’m sorry you have no friends.

If you’re one of those people with an inner conscious that likes to be thoughtful to shit going around you, I’d shake your hand.

Moral of the story – don’t be that guy.

2012 Wrap Up – Part VIII

September. This was the last month I got to drive the STI before my insurance ended and I had to put it away. To be honest, I was about 50% sure that I was ever gonna drive it again because I wanted a new car. At the time, I didn’t know what. I played around with the idea of the FRS still, the 370z was kind of on the list but I hadn’t entertained the idea enough to be serious.
Anyways, moving right along…

We shot Barb’s and Justin’s TSX’s that day. I’m not a fan of dual shoots primarily because it’s hard to shoot two cars but it ended up turning out super sick. It was cool cause they both had CE’s too lol.

JC and I chillin in our usual spot for a few hours while waiting for people to show up.

Finally everyone showed up – Steve was on the other side haha

Parked in some roundabout – grabbed some village ice cream and relaxed a bit.

Barb and Justin’s TSX’s

Corey and I parked under that walkway I posted about. Corey if you ever read this, can I please buy my wheels back? Please.

Some random shot I took. Weird because it wasn’t really an accident and I know I took it for a reason. I even thought to myself “I’m going to take this picture and post it”. I’ve been looking at it and I don’t know what the hell I would or could even write about it except that somehow my arm is in there and there’s nothing significantly special about this picture at all. What a dumbass haha

Chillin. JC mean mugging the po po probably.

Outside of Five Guys.

Justin’s CE’s

Barb’s CE’s

We all decided that it was kind of a long day so we made our way to Five Guys and had lunch.

Look at the voltex shadow. $5 says you can see it from space.

My favourite rolling shot with the new c-train overpass in the background.

The light and shadows work well here with Justin’s car. Black wheels on a white car is also my worst nightmare.

Simple yet neck breaking.

See why black wheels are my worst enemy?

And finally – some of the shots that came out.

Some more chillin’. We also shot Ryan’s 1M that day and then shot JC’s car. It started getting to the point where I was out of ideas of where to shoot cars cause we shot so many lol.

Corey and I. I want my old wheels back so bad! LOL

Corey doing some shooting. A little different than the video clips he’s been doing most of the time for us.

Under the walkway to the saddledome. I loved this spot.

Parked outside one of the nicer hotels in the downtown area with black tile. Ryan’s 1M would’ve looked sweet in there. Unfortunately we got denied and we couldn’t come in…

I decided to try something new for rolling shots so I asked JC if we could put his seats down, open the trunk, and let me lay down so I could get some shots head on. There are a few downsides to this idea – there is a possibility the trunk would fall back down and chop my neck off or knock me unconscious for god knows how long. It is stunting and we could get a ticket. We can’t go very fast or else bad shit could happen. Luckily Aubrey was around and agreed to help us out. She joined me in the trunk holding up the trunk while JC drove around and Ryan followed close behind. She looks unhappy in this picture but she actually isn’t – it’s cause the sun was shining down on us in the trunk and it was bright. I swear. hahaha turned out good!

Ryan’s car does a good job of standing out and looks super aggressive with the RS’s. See the link to his feature and write up by JC. He killed this one.

iM Highlight: Ryan Dandurand’s BMW 1M

I loved this rolling shot.

The Quarry Park Show & Shine was also this month. It starts to get a little cooler during September for some days and it rained a bit that morning, but the rest of the day was pretty nice. It’s a cool place to see a lot of the baller cars that the city has to showcase.

The site.

We were allowed to go inside, and I’m not sure if we were allowed all the other years but this place was nice as heck. It even smelled like new home haha

There was also a theater that was open for viewing little videos of cars and stuff. So baller… it didn’t even look like it’s been used so I decided to break it in by putting my feet up haha

A few of my favourite cars of the show…

The Aventador was probably the sickest there, mainly because of the exclusivity of it. The owner was super chill too. There was a kid looking at it and he offered to let him sit in it! There’s nothing more refreshing than seeing a modest, down-to-earth rich guy.

Porsche GT3 – he kind of just did a round and left I think. Still sick nonetheless.

Group shot of white supremacy. #NoRacist

My favourite car on our side. S14 on Meister S1R’s. DAYUM

Got a chance to check out Punit’s S2000 cluster too. Looks super sick.

Later on in the day Punit decided that he wanted to buy some raffle tickets so he ended up splurging on 35 tickets and got JC and I to fill out every single one. LOL worth it? Well, Punit won something. You’ll see at the end…

Errol’s freshly finished Amuse S2000. Really sick.

We also got a chance to shoot Daniel’s BMW M3 GTR. Crazy beast of a car. He switches between track mode and DD mode with different sets of wheels and swaps the wing off sometimes. It’s kind of beat up aesthetically but rightfully so – it does what it was built to do.

Met at the same place as always – East Village… we should call it Chill Village.

Took the Civic today. Since gas prices went up almost $0.10/L on Wednesday, I was running around on Empty in the STI. Mainly because the news said it was supposed to go back down within 24-48 hours. Here we are on a Sunday and it’s still up. I hate filling gas so much that I drive everyone else’s car except for mine so I can save it HAHA

Not too long after, Justin showed up in the M3. Beast.

First location…

We were taking pics by the train track and with our luck, a train passed by and tooted his horn at us. Once the train passed, a cop came by and chatted a bit. We thought he was gonna harass us like always, but he just wanted to drive it haha. I asked if we could get a shot of the M3 with his car but he said no. Instead, he gave us some location ideas that he’s seen. JC is talking to him and checking out his map to see where to go next. haha too bad all cops weren’t all cool like this guy.

We entered some truck graveyard in the location that the cop told us to go to. It was dusty as f*ck. After shooting inside, on the way out I decided to e-brake drift the Civic for fun haha.

White sidewalls haha. Oh well – gave me a reason to wash it since my sister never does X_X

Chillin in the last area. Got the rolling shots and I had to get going…

On the way home I spotted Devon on Deerfoot. I creeped like mad and caught up to him and just started snapping pics haha. Super clean.

If someone asked me what was the weirdest memory of summer 2012 – it’d be this day. LOL
We went to go shoot Devon’s EG and bike that day, but things took a huge left turn and shit got awkward… Read on.

Chill village. Upon our arrival, we found out that we couldn’t park where we usually do because it looked like all the food trucks were gathering there for some event. Not sure what it was – didn’t really care. Here’s a shot of the Family Fry Guy truck just heading in. Sorry for the super crooked picture haha

JC chillin. We’re still waiting for everyone to come.

After everyone’s arrival, we headed out to some place that I can’t remember. I honestly don’t really care where we go – I just take pictures. It was a pretty sweet place though. On the way here we were followed by a cop thinking we were ridin’ dirty. Once we pulled over, we just got out and pretended to look at the beautiful scenery. HA.

Devon’s helmet. Love what he’s done with the illmotion sticker on it.

We then made our way up the hill. Still don’t remember what the area was called and once again – I don’t really care. It was a nice view, but it was a tough spot to shoot.

Here we are. Chillin outside someones property. People drive by and gawk while we gawk back. Some people stop for a second to see what’s going on and probably to make fun of my wing. Here’s where it gets interesting…

A girl in a Mazda3 drove by and ended up parking about 30 meters away from where we were shooting. She came out and walked up to us – I’m going to be honest, at first I thought we were all up on her property and she was about to give us hell for being there. I even had in my mind a full story all ready within the 5 seconds it took for her to get close. She asked if we were here for the motorcycle shoot as well. We were kind of confused because yes – we were there for a motorcycle shoot and it was Devon’s. But no – we didn’t remember being scheduled by anyone other than ourselves to shoot it and we didn’t know anyone else knew about it.

She explained that she was actually shooting for some other magazine or publication (I can’t remember what it was) and she was early. She asked if we wanted a bikini model and that she was bored and had time to spare. I looked over at Devon and asked if he wanted to do it and he said sure. Within seconds, her clothes were off and I’m going to be honest – I didn’t know what to do. I am by no means a model photographer – I don’t shoot people, I don’t shoot people with no clothes on and I’m not good at it at all. I don’t know how to position them or anything. So we get over to the bike and she gets on and Rich and I just start snapping pics. I have no idea how to shoot a bike, now I have to quickly find out how to shoot a bike with a girl in a bikini on it. Anyways – I wasn’t too keen on the whole idea, but I thought it’d be fun to just do it. She was bored, we were just chillin so why not. Maybe Devon enjoyed it haha

I don’t want to post my pictures. They suck. It’s like I just picked up a camera for the first time and I don’t know where to point it. It’s difficult when you need to give direction, it’s even more difficult when you don’t know how. Anyways – that was it. It was a quick 10 minutes before her actual photographer showed up. I think I’ll stick to shooting cars.

We made our way to Queens Park Cemetery. Thought it’d be cool to get some shots there. Punit got lost, we ended up chillin on the side of the road watching a funeral go by. Kind of a weird place to be because you want to be respectful but the whole idea of us being there just to shoot pictures kind of ruins it all. We didn’t stay too long.

A teaser roller shot of Devon’s bike and EG.

At our turn around point for the rolling shots, we all got out of the car and switched spots at a red light. We all knew where we had to go, but when one person gets confused, everyone gets confused. *cough JC*

Shotgun in Rich’s WRX.

Our endpoint.

Peep Rich’s rear. Custom STI quad exit. Looks bad ass.

Another shot of Devon’s helmet.

Because racecar.

We all parted ways and headed home on Stoney Trail. I decided to get some rollers of everybody on the way home. Dirty barrels!

Look at my wing. SICK.

Anyways that was our day. Tough to put it all into pictures for you guys to understand how random it ended up being.

Coles notes: Scheduled to shoot car and bike. Head out and get followed by cop. Go up to see city skyline. Random bikini model comes and asks us to shoot. Head to cemetery. Watch funeral pass by while Punit is lost. Eat Pho and park in shitty lot. Go to do rolling shots. The end. LOL!

Finally – the super meet that we usually all attend. It’s a nice way to close the season. It’s typically the same people that show up, some new faces come and you see lame burnouts and revving from the noobs that think it’s impressive blah blah blah.

On the way to the meet. Ricky’s car – he just got the rears cambered in. When it’s dumped it looks crazy! I always love to get a rolling shot whenever I drive around now haha

Lame traffic.

Al on his new Rotiforms.

That’s it for the single shots until tomorrow…

A shot of a quarter of the turnout…

Aldo’s Merc. Nice and clean. I’m a fan of the non-smoked headlights and tail lights for this season.

Kanji’s Integra.

Super clean R32 on TE37SL’s.

FRS. It’s nice to see them getting changed so quick. I think the first modification on these cars should be wheels and coils. The body is pretty aggressive on it’s own that it really only needs complimentary mods.

Fit + roof rack. Nice.

Bill’s Focus. Looking clean as always. Bringing the domestic flavour around wherever he goes haha

Ricky’s GTI with his new dialed in fitment in the rear. His fender no longer sits inbetween the lip and tire – which was bad ass. But this is an even better look IMO. His car looks so sick.

The black series.

Matte red! simple and clean.

Shane’s Integra on RG’s

The BMW shoe. Still sick.

Justin’s TSX. A dumped white car always looks so good. Justin’s and Ricky’s are perfect examples.

Simple STI.

I’m beginning to become a fan of the new line of Domestics coming out. The Camaro, Mustang, Shelby’s, etc… when you put some crazy wheels and lower them, they look mean as #&$@.

Clean ITR

A mint MR2

One of my favourites of the night – Audi RS4 on ADV1’s

Another clean gem. 300zx on bronze Varrstoens.

Sasa’s “old” TSX. Just sold to another individual.

Ryan’s 1M.

Rhys’s 911.

Ryan’s racecar EP3

Derrick’s Integra

Corey’s Civic. I miss dem wheels…

Andy’s dumped Skyline.

Darren’s Mugen DC5. Grids up front, Gram lights in the back. I dig.

EVO X on an interesting color of gram lights I’ve never seen before.

Another one of my favourits… 350Z on candy blue Varrstoens

Mario’s newly acquired TSX dumped on Green CE’s

Errol’s Amuse S2000 in the flesh.

Fiat 500 Abarth.

Gangster D’s Spoon S2000

Still probably my favourite of all the cars – mainly cause he got the fitment on those S1R’s so perfect. I hate the S1R’s – but I love them on this.

Jackie showing up late in his NSX

Same with Steve

Paul’s EK

I’ve always been a fan of the GS’s. Dump it and put nice wheels on it and boom.

***End September/Part VIII***
This is starting to get super lengthy LOL. I hope my blog can handle 4 more lol.

2012 Wrap Up – Part VI

Moving on and it just keeps getting better and better. June is here and by now, everybody is in a rush to get everything done for the Driven car show. I especially remember Ricky anxiously trying to get everything done for the show on time. Let’s start off with him.

I think this was like a Monday – I went to his house and we put the wheels on the car and was working on little things until a bit after midnight. Worth it though.

Raised up. Stock wheels. Oettinger bumper though. So good.

Wheels on and cleaning up.

Getting ready to pull in and set the ride height.

Oh man.

Fronts went all the way down and there’s about an inch or so from the front bumper to the ground.

Underglow lol. Nah it’s just his sidemarker dangling haha

Rear fitment. Can’t believe how perfect this is. Sits right between the wheel and tire like he wanted. We left the blue tape on just so we wouldn’t scratch the lip just incase.

Anyways – with less than 5 hours of sleep, Ricky came by this morning and we cleaned the car up, put the center caps on and did a bunch of other little things. Looks so good with the blue tape pulled off.

Enjoying some chocolate cheerios while Ricky washes his car for the first time since November I think.

So good.

If only the Civic was the same way as I had it two years ago. I kind of regret parting it out now 😦

Sun hitting the wheel.

Went for a quick photoshoot – same spot I’ve used many times cause it’s easy, no traffic, and nice view.

Can’t get over how sick this looks and still without the sideskirts and wing.

See. Nice spot

Close up of his fitment.

The next morning, we went spent the day putting on his wing and sideskirts… moving quick. Also went to Terence to grab some new stickers for the whip.

The OSIR wing attachment. We used some fast cure eurothane to get the wing on since it was popping up on one end when you pushed the other side down. We ended up putting the glue on and taping the shit out of both ends and left it for a few hours while we worked on the sideskirts.

The three piece sideskirts. Such a pain.

Our work shop.

After a few hours we got it taped up. Had to drill the carbon and bolt it onto the first piece, then make sure that mounted up to the car. Finally, we had to make sure the third piece slipped in and also fit properly. It wasn’t a perfect fit but it was better than some other kits. Nothing some 3M couldn’t fix.

Taped up and aired out.

Took the tape off and voila! Peep the sick carbon underneath. Got it painted only halfway to show that.

Another shot of it.

Also put on his new sticker to match his panties haha

Once we finished it was still kinda early so I messaged Terence to ask him if he could make me some new stickers for Driven on Saturday – so we left there. Got a rolling shot of Ricky’s car. It was raining a bit so we put some tape on the sideskirt so the 3M wouldn’t get wet haha

Boom. So sick!

Terence doing his magic.

New logo 🙂

Nice and simple.

After MONTHS of waiting – JC finally received his wheels and we put them on right away. Look awesome in 18’s especially after his previous set was 17’s. Also went for a quick photoshoot afterwards.

By the time I got there, JC had already got the rear wheels mounted. Dayum. 18×8.5 +26 – fits perfectly. Just enough stretch and a nice height to compliment it.

JC doing work.

Out with the old, beat winter tires.

And in with the new. JC peeling off the blue protective tape revealing the nice chrome lip.

Honey Cocaine.

#KKK was back.

Douchebag parking. That was primarily my fault since I was first in. Ricky and I switched cars and I was going to fix myself but was too lazy. Nobody was around anyway. Must have been because I was sitting in Prashant’s douchemobile AMG yesterday. Rubbed off.

Anyways, we were just waiting for JC to wash his whip.

Random shot of Ricky’s wheels

Moved over to the church where it was completely dead. Gopesh also joined us earlier to check out the whip.

Finally, some unofficial shots of JC’s car on his new shoes. We’ll be shooting this soon!

One of the biggest highlights of the year for most of us was Driven 2012. Mainly because we didn’t receive a show in 2011 and made the trip down to BC for their DTP which was a bummer too cause it rained all day. It basically gave everyone a full year and a bit to get their cars ready with new revisions. The one good thing about skipping 2011 was that there would always be something new for the next show. People switched cars, new mods, new overhauls, etc. The bad thing about having one every year is there are very cars with changes worth seeing again. Some might have gotten new seats, or added different lugs, maybe they got an intake and exhaust now, but really – it’s not worth paying the $20 something bucks to come see cars that are 80% the same.
I think for the last 8 or 9 years, there has been the same two Civics with absolutely no changes that show up to the show. They are both stuck in the times of Fast and Furious with colored interiors, underglow and all that other stuff.

2012 was great because not only did a bunch of us get new cars and did complete changes – there were a bunch of new faces that joined us. Ricky with his GTI, Adam and his EK, we had Daniel’s Spoon S2000, Michael’s Supra. Sure, our booth was huge, but the goal was to showcase the very best of Calgary’s scene. At the time, I remember we all agreed that we wanted nothing but clean, well-thought out cars. Our booth did nothing but win that day. I was happy because both Ricky and I left with what we came there for. Months of prepping and getting everything ordered – worth it. Best of Show VW and Best of Show Subaru.

Let’s look back…
PS – more coverage here:

Scott’s FG that ended up taking Best 8th Gen

Rich cleaning his WRX

Ricky’s GTI – so sick. Best of Show GTI

Ryan’s 1M on brand new Advan RS’s

Another one done for this wrap up!

2012 Wrap Up – Part V

Let’s continue with May. Man, this is starting to get really long to do hahaha

As a side note – thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes today! I used to reply back to everyone, but I think a “like” on facebook and a simple “thank you” on here will suffice. You guys all rock! Now I’m old enough to get cheaper insurance. Bingo.

Anyways – this is when it starts to get good so I guess I won’t slack off with the content. I’m sure there’s going to be something you haven’t seen over the year so I’ll post as much as I can!

At the beginning of May was a definitely a milestone for the STI this year. This was literally when I pretty much stopped spending money on it. The Varis kit was on, it just looked perfect to me.

As I mentioned before, parts were coming in and everyone was just anxious to get their shit on. Punit got his custom one-off re-barreled Regamasters by WheelFlip. Such a sick set… Kind of sad to think that there’s a good chance he’s going to get rid of them for the next project.

Punit starting to open his wheels – he didn’t even open them at the border to make sure they were OK haha

Shit load of tires.

Almost there… packed nicely at least.

Check out the lip on that shit. 16×9.5 +19

Went to take a quick snap of the group quick while they were unloading tires.

Another shot of the fresh new kit minus the carbon stickers I hadn’t put on yet

Gopesh’s GTI

Another shot of all the tires…

Prashant’s douchemobile tires. Nice and meaty.

Inside cleaning and waxing the wheels before mounting tomorrow. Hopefully I get some pics of it.

Nothing too crazy. However it was a Wednesday when we went to Prashant’s… I’m trying to remember why I wasn’t working or why the hell all of us were just doing hoodrat shit out in Chestermere LOL. We ended up getting Punit’s wheels mounted and going for a quick drive with the KEY’S wheel finally on and everything.

Derrick’s Teg.

Walking up to the garage – the car is already on the ground and they’re working on the interior…

Lots of stretch, but still looks pretty good. I was scared for him but he ended up pulling it off. No rubbing.

JC and Gopesh putting the interior back.

Some of Punit’s goodies…

Nice Key’s wheel… Suede is such a love/hate relationship.

Nikki and Adam stopped by as well in her Yaris.

Derrick’s Integra

Finally rolled out.

Profile shot..

Another exciting day. The beginning of this post up until now has all happened within a matter of three days I believe. One day my car was completed at the bodyshop, the next Punit’s car is out on the road and finally Ricky’s sick SSR’s came in. The pictures speak for themselves for his wheels. Which btw – I think are for sale too. 😉

His valve cover that we were painting that day.

Here we go.

SSR SP1’s in Spectrum Silver. BUT WAIT – it gets better.

Still gets better…

BOOM. Wait until you see these in the sun. It’s such a crazy finish that you have to see it in person.

You can see from a distance how it looks. On a sunny day these wheels would be killer.

haha a sheet saying who approved it all.

Put all the SSR decals on.

Another shot with the decal

It’s all in the details – SSR valve stems. Similar to Rays

Then we got to sanding and painted half of the valve cover. Got lazy and will finish the rest another day…

On May 6th – Ricky, Gopesh, Derrick, Thy, Punit, Prashant and I all went to Edmonton for their season opener meet. This was actually a super fun weekend. It was kind of up in the air whether we were going to go or not because it was snowing like crazy that morning but Edmonton was supposed to be nice. Good times… This is gonna be a long one.

Underexposed the shot so you could see the snow falling – this was at about 10AM. Not horrible, but not ideal either.

Fueling up with my Chocolate cheerios and checking my email before heading out.

Get to Deerfoot mall and it’s super big and wet snow falling – Gopesh, Derrick and I waiting on Punit, Prashant and Rich… You could stand outside for a minute and be soaked. hahaha also note my half assed attempt at protecting my lip. Didn’t do shit anyways haha.

Check out that snowfall. It doesn’t look that bad in the pic, but you could barely see in front of you. We lost each other in the snow because we needed to follow another car in order to know where we were going.

Almost through red deer and the snow let up and it was just rain.

Random shot lol

Got to gasoline alley and I was the only one that filled up. That’s what you get when you roll with gas sippers. lol

Rain let up and it was getting nice and dry finally

With the dry weather, we decided to do some rolling shots. Derrick and his teg – sick shot.

Punit and Rich

Punit – Regas look so good

Prashant getting go pro footage

Clear sailing! Such a relief.

Got to Edmonton and had lunch at ihop. Just finished and we were getting ready to roll to Speedtech for some BBQ…..

Got to speedtech and no BBQ. LOL it was closed and the roads were so shitty getting there.

Whatever, hard park for a while and look cool. That was the whole point anyway…

Finally – Isaac and Daniel invited us to come to their shop and detail our cars before the meet. Thanks so much to you guys for letting us use it and your super clean shop! Great meeting you guys. Here’s the lineup…

Washing Snow White

I’m surprised I didn’t catch any birds in that huge opening haha

The other side of the shop where we dried our cars and later set up

Rolling out for Gopesh and Aldrich to move in

Punit being a troll. No, he’s not trying to help me dry the car. He thinks it’s a mouth or some shit. Damn Honda owners…

Rich washing up

Not sure what was going on here. LOL

Gopesh washing his car. Peep his grill line – coming off because of the highway drive or something or the ultimate pressure washer took it off.

Doing work.

Isaac and his super clean Civic and his fresh paint job. I think he said it was done 4 days ago? Crazy.

hahaha you can see that bump on Derrick’s head. I asked for a another towel to dry my car and he offered it in his trunk. I ended up getting it and didn’t let the trunk go all the way and he came over to check. In retrospect, I don’t even know why he came to look but he smacked his head on the trunk and he kept making a big deal about having a concussion and bleeding and shit. What a baby. Shit was hilarious though.

Daniel’s super clean Del Sol. You don’t see many of these in such great condition. He had just gotten a fresh paint job as well and that was two days ago. So minty!

Gopesh’s GTI all clean and with the grill stripe all done again thanks to Rich.

KKK. (No racist)

This is how we originally had it set up but after realizing that we needed to fit three more cars in we had to move it. My wing took up too much room hahahaha

Boom. Final result. I loved this shop cause it was so clean, and the lighting was perfect. If we had more time I wish we could have set up on the hoists and stuff but this was good enough. This shot alone was worth the trip through the blizzard haha.

Got to the meet and decided to go find some dinner before we left. Look at that loser throwing up fob signs.

Look at these two trolls. Always have to be looking at the camera.

This was the worst idea ever. Ricky and I were feeling pretty tired and with the 3 hour drive home in the dark, I was afraid I was gonna get hella sleepy so we decided to pick this up. “No crash later” is bullshit. At least for someone who doesn’t drink caffeine EVER. Well, we drank it at around 830PM thinking that by the time we got home, it’d wear off. Wrong. The good thing is that neither of us were tired on the way home. The bad thing is by the time we got home we were still hyper as hell. I went to bed feeling tired on the outside and on the inside my heart was beating like I just ran a marathon. Even today I was jittery and shaky as hell. Never again.

Anyway… fast forward and we are on our way home… Loved this pic.

Rolling shot for Derrick. The sky on our way back was awesome.

This makes me excited. Ricky finally got his bags installed by Concept-1 – who, by the way, did an excellent job with running the lines and everything. So fun to play with. Maybe he was the reason why I have the LS now…

Set up in the back

Highest setting. LOLOL for some reason this looks like stock height. I remember being able to put my fist in when he first got the car.

Messing around trying to be a low rider haha

Set to the cruise height. This is about how he was with coils – maybe a bit higher.

Fucking sick!

I had finally bit the bullet to get the JDM rear brake light because I was so bored with the car at that point already. I remember I just wanted to buy something to get rid of the itch. This was it lol. It was actually pretty bad ass though.

All JDM. Even the bolts and bolt holders haha. It’s weird that it’s sold separately, you’d think they’d sell it all together…

The light.

JDM bulb lol

Removing the rear bumper

Off! Looks crazy. Because race car. haha

Rear bumper off to the side and the middle section cut out. Note the burned and yellowed underside. I polished most of it off and it looks good again! I need the Varis exhaust shields… I’m on the fence cause that’s too much going on in the back.

Punit decided that Boo wanted to help wipe off the polish. Gopesh thought it was a good idea too.

Rich tapping into the brake lights.

Getting the bumper back on….

Done! All working good!

Just getting the last clips in..

haha funny cause all of us had one clip haha

A video of Ricky’s air in action.

Finally getting hot weather at this point. We installed Gopesh’s APR exhaust on his GTI and it was awesome. I miss install days but the good thing is that with everyone’s new cars, there’s gonna be tons of new install days next year again!

Took a quick snap of my car since I just waxed it and it looks amazing in the sun when it’s shining.

Got to Prashant’s house and look at this parking job. I guess douche parking comes with the car.

Layout of the APR exhaust and carbon intake in the boxes

Gopesh doing work lol

Ready to get the intake in. But for some reason, I didn’t get a final shot of it. The way the APR exhaust is made was such a fail on their part. The bolts that hold the chamber to the filter don’t even fit, the filter barely fits the arm, blah blah blah.

Legs everywhere haha

Everybody doing work.

hahaha Punit was stuck under there holding the exhaust for so long. We jumped the gun and took everything off the hangers too quick and Gopesh had barely got the downpipe off. Whoops.

Finally that stock bitch is out.

Exhaust up. So shiny. Man the hangers for this car are such a bitch to do.

Look at that mirror shine.

On May 22nd, we went out to do an official shoot of my car for illmotion. It was a pretty chill day with just JC, Ricky, Derrick and I. The funniest part of this whole day was how we somehow gave Derrick the short end of the stick and made him talk to this old dude who was looking for his dance class or something LOL.

This was actually the perfect spot for my car. Maybe it’s fate – the gloss black tiles for the backdrop was perfect contrast for the white and carbon. Minus the fact that we had two security guards watching us, a few onlookers and the staff monitoring us, it was an awesome spot.

After the whole shoot, we went back to Simmon’s – it’s a nice place to park, quiet and right by the river. This Italian guy came up to us and asked us what we were doing there. We told him we were just taking pictures and he called us liars. He said we were there to dance. After that, he said usually him and a group usually meet in this very spot to do some latin dancing and wanted to know where everyone was. I thought he was crazy, but he was a nice dude. He asked if I had a phone and I said that I didn’t. Meanwhile, the people I thought were my friends scattered and left me alone with him. Derrick was the only one playing on his phone so I decided to throw him under the bus. I said that Derrick had a phone and he could use it. Well unfortunately, he ended up using it to call his entire contact list that he had written on a small piece of paper in his wallet that he had laid out on JC’s trunk LOL.

15 minutes later… still waiting for him to finish calling his contact list to find out where this dance group is.

Derrick isn’t too impressed with me and I decided to take a picture of it for hilarious moments down the road. Now that I think about it, the dance thing didn’t start until 4. He was freaking out half an hour early. By 4, the dance instructor had showed up. Wasted our time. But Derrick made a new friend… LOL

Finally Ricky’s tires came in and we went to go get them mounted. We also went to install Gopesh’s rear valence and intake. Wooo.
At this point I know Ricky was dying with everyone’s cars being put together and Ricky had to roll around on stock wheels lol

After months of having the tires in my basement and the wheels boxed up and asking to be taken out – we finally get the chance to take them to Gary and Cort at Urban X.

Since we didn’t have an appointment, they were nice enough to let us just drop it off and have them work on them whenever they had time. Meanwhile, we headed to the Tenchiwala residence and chilled for a bit. Gopesh had some goodies to install. I was sitting in JC’s car and was checking out his dildo knob again… haha I have a soft spot for this thing cause it’s so crazy. It’s actually super fun to shift.

We were taking a look at some of the stuff we had from 2010 to see if we could reuse them for anything this year and unfortunately we can’t. The flags that we had made by Terence at Black Label got ruined when we took them to the show in Vancouver last year. It was an outdoor show and it rained practically all day.

Gopesh came and it turned out his sideskirts, rear Oettinger bumper and front lip were done being painted.

Dirty – but he’s been driving like this since we installed the exhaust a few weeks ago.

The front lip

The rest of the pieces loaded up in Punit’s Legacy

The bumper

We decided to wash the car and fit it on to make sure the paint matched and it was easier to work with. Turned out great. The APR exhaust looks sick

A shot of his APR intake that I didn’t get a chance to take a pic of last time. Kind of the same set up as stock – except carbon. Didn’t seem that special to me, but it looks sick.

Around 2, we went back to Urban and picked the wheels back up. We asked if they could leave the blue tape on the wheels so that when we test them with his air set up, we don’t accidentally scratch up the lip. This is how they look the shade – no spectrum silver or anything. Just straight gunmetal. Stealthy.

Another one in the bag! Thanks for tuning in!
