New Polarizer Testing

First off – I want to say: “Where have you been all my life?!” But then I think about it and it was always there, but I was just too cheap to go buy one LOL.

The main reason I wanted to get one was because the last few shoots that we’ve had, it’s been super sunny and the polarizer would’ve helped so much. Tomorrow – weather permitting – we’ll be shooting Adam’s car and I want his shoot to turn out real good. Despite all the flooding and everything happening, I’m hoping it holds out like it did today for the most part.

I just tested some shots outside to check it out and so far I’m loving it. Excuse the dirty car…

LS460 Air Install: Part III.5

Well – the reason I called this Part 3.5 is because it’s not good enough to be a part IV and I want so bad to make sure that part IV is the car dropped on the ground and part V to be the finale, the creme de le creme, the cherry on top – the wheels finally on the car and ready for Driven. Jackie is aiming for tomorrow night for it to be done. I stopped by quick with Diana to see if we could help wrap the trunk piece all over again since it had to be ripped off to bolt everything down. The fabric was catching and in retrospect, we should’ve glued it down. Those of you doing air installs – remember that haha.

On the way home. Got a shot of Diana’s car randomly. We slapped her wheels on finally today and it looks great. The Meisters were meant to be on the Fit. So good.

Anyways – tomorrow my sister is dropping my wheels off at Urban X South for Gary and Cort to mount them because my tires came in today. In the evening, I’ll be going to pick them up and then heading over to Jackie’s. I’m hoping that we’re on time and I can drive it home tomorrow. I know Jackie doesn’t want to look at another air suspension set up again and I don’t want it hanging there anymore so it’ll be a win win. I hope to have a good update tomorrow for you guys. Instagram will probably be the first place I update – so check in the evening!

DTP 2011 Favourites… Part II

Since I saw that one of my top posts was DTP favourites from 2011, I thought I’d revisit it and share some other shots. I catered the original post to be around the cars mainly with GT wings because of my obsession with them. Trust me – if in some weird world, VIP cars existed with GT wings – I would be the first one to have it. However that is not the case, and I don’t foresee it ever being the case, so I have to admire other cars that have them now.

But as I was going through this – 2 years later – I am still at the same conclusion that I came to when I posted part 1 last year. It is that the automotive scene – only a province away – is much more evolved than ours today. Even 2 years after I’ve shot these cars, they were still ahead of the curve that we see here. There’s no cutting corners, everything is done right. You might even find that I’m writing a similar paragraph to the one in part 1, but I swear I didn’t read it again before writing this.

Truthfully, when we attended this show – you could see the differences in our group compared to the rest of the show. Subtle, minor modifications vs. aggressive and all out – which is something that is just catching on locally here IMO. There is a certain aesthetic value in creating a car with great parts in combination with each other and that just doesn’t happen all too often.

Anyway – I think I sound bitter because I’m jealous, not because I hate. Enjoy.
