Tim’s Honda CBR: Farewell

First shoot we did this weekend was pretty last minute. It was of Tim Lee’s Honda CBR – he posted it up for sale on Friday and it sold immediately. The new owner wanted to pick it up yesterday but Tim asked to hold on a little longer because he wanted to take one last rip in it and also get some rolling shots before he let go. So that’s what we did!

He still has it but he still wants to sell it probably by the end of the year. If you’re looking for a mint EG with absolute mint everything – hit Tim up or contact me and I can get you in touch with him.

We started off in Chestermere since it was close to where all of us already were, so we worked with what we had.

Met up by the lake. It was a beautiful day yesterday so I’d be crazy not to do any shoots… Punit’s car also looking damn good after being polished and waxed.

JC’s CT200h always looking clean. He just got his headlights and tail lights freshly smoked to give it a more aggressive look.

Devon’s EG & CBR – Favourites

iM Feature: Devon Mori’s EG & CBR

This was another shoot that we did late last summer while the weather was still nice. The best thing about this shoot was that Devon had his EG and CBR painted the exact same color so that they matched. You don’t see that too often and to be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. People will have a white car and then buy a white bike but it’s just not the same.

The paint job is amazing and his EG in particular is just unique in and of itself. Two sets of wheels on both sides, a metallic green pearl that you don’t see too often, and an all around clean Honda. These days it’s super easy to just ruin a perfectly good Civic but in the same sense, it’s also super easy to make it amazing if you know what you’re doing. I wish we saw more of the latter around here. People usually associate Civics with fartcan cherry bomb exhausts, carbon vinyl, altezzas, and every thing else that does a good job at ruining it… But none of that here.

I mentioned way back that I personally can’t shoot something that just doesn’t sit right with me. Not that I hate those cars, but I’ll just never be able to edit them because it’ll just look bad no matter what I do. It’s like shooting an ugly model in the nicest hotel – it just has no appeal. HOWEVER, there’s none of that here – Devon’s EG and CBR are the equivalents to the two Playboy models that you love seeing together, except that you don’t need to wear a hoody and quickly run into a 7-Eleven to get your fix.

Oh yeah – RHD too. Or Devon is just really short. lol

His CBR. We got the chance to get into a cemetery that day – beautiful scenery.

The shoot that day just seemed to flow perfectly well. The colors of the leaves and grass matched his car and everything complimented each other.

Rolling Shots Compilation

Decided to go through some old rolling shots and put them all together. I always post a roller when I do a shoot as a teaser – they’re my favourite shots to do when we go on a shoot. I don’t know if this is going to be a series or a one-post kinda thing, so I won’t number this. I know I have a ton more… I’ll go through more when I can. I’m just trying to make up for all the days of missing posts.

It can be frustrating when most the shots are a bit blurry or whatever, but when you find THE ONE, it’s awesome. Rolling shots are also annoying – as those who have done them would know – because for some reason, when people behind us see us taking pics, they have the need to do several things: tailgate, do ricer revs or have the need to fly by us like a douche.I know what you’re thinking – we’re probably driving slow or we’re doing stupid shit – negative. We’re actually going over speed limit and we’re not really holding anybody up unless they want to speed. The douche in drivers tend to come out when they see cool shit going down. Rolling shots are classified as cool shit.

There have been a few times where the cars behind us will actually fall back until we’re doing taking the pictures and we’ll say thanks when we get our shots in. Those guys deserve a badge of coolness for doing that. I’d probably do the same – but once again – the douche in people gravitate towards cool shit.

If you’re one of those people with an inner douche that likes to ruin shit, I’m sorry you have no friends.

If you’re one of those people with an inner conscious that likes to be thoughtful to shit going around you, I’d shake your hand.

Moral of the story – don’t be that guy.
