I’m sorry guys – I had pictures all out of order yesterday. That’s a side effect of getting snipped (just kidding). Anyway, I had a bunch more photos of roll-in, so let’s finish that off before we get to actual coverage… Patience is a virtue! And besides, roll-in shots can be fun too 🙂
Rich at the booth as per usual playing sick beats throughout the show. Also a self-plug – peep that Miami Vice-inspired illmotion shirt I designed for the guys for the show. I dig it.
A quick shot of Nat for the day. She was basically JC’s co-pilot for the day to get shots as well. Obviously she was more geared up and ready than I was with her A7III and A6400… Packing too much heat.
A gangster Super Duty with custom parts galore. Again, I know nothing about trucks but it’s stuff like this that I can get down with.
It had quite the presence… Shows you how lifted and big it actually is compared to Steve standing beside it…
Something a little different… This Renault Clio MK1 was a cool sight to see!
Johannah’s S15 Spec R in a Sapphire blue. A very clean example of an aggressive and clean S15. No bolt on flares, no mangled fenders, just simple and effective aero.
Another shot of Johanna’s S15 showing the fitment.
JDM front Integra with a Mugen wing out back and on what look to be Advan Super Racing replicas? Can’t confirm.
A clean Celica on Work Equips
While I was standing around, thought I’d get a snap of all these S2000’s… Barb, Ryan and Corey…
Rocket Bunny S13 on VS-KF’s
Better shot of the whole car… Rare to see one of these without the 6666 livery. I like it clean.
@stoneyrotor’s RX7 on gold BBS’s…
Kind of interesting to see this RHD 350Z in pink on Cosmis Racing wheels. I’m genuinely curious as to why you’d choose a RHD 350Z over a LHD one that can easily be attained here… Unless of course you were really just wanting RHD…
I don’t know what the hell this is but it was one of my favourites of the show… With the “Tiffany” blue/mint colour theme, Recaro SRD’s up front in red, Work Meister CR01’s, and a colour-matched Ruckus in the back. So awesome…
Kirsten’s boosted 3SGE Altezza on Fifteen52 wheels.
You’ll notice a theme that starts to develop as we go through these posts… Brandon AKA ABG hunter starts to pop up more often than one would like. However, his goal was to find an ABG and I tasked him with getting one to take a picture with him by the end of the day… We’ll see how that goes. Here, he’s using Kya as some bait…
Better shot of Kirsten’s Altezza
Another IS300 right behind wrapped in a glitter purple and some pretty cool rose-gold CR-Kai’s…
EDIT: It’s not wrap! It’s actually painted – confirmed by the owner. It’s so bad that now when you see something that’s not your typical paint job, you assume it’s wrap. That’s what wrap has done to us…
The custom decals Type R shop car…
Another Type R following right behind in spoon livery.
This IS was pretty wild… I’m not sure what the flares are but the wheels both front and back were wide as hell. I’d say these were probably the widest wheels at the show… More shots of it during coverage posts later…
The show brings in tons of different flavour as you’ve probably seen. This S15 had a whole bunch of things going on. I’m a GT wing lover but this is next level…
The infamous FC-powered Corolla. Hard to tell in the pic, but it also has carbon doors. Attention to detail on this thing is spot on – especially in and around the engine bay…
I think there’s at least one car every year that turns heads and makes you wonder what’s going on. This mustang was it for me this year – last year, if you recall Sharif’s pink EG that was absolutely slammed with homemade bodywork – I couldn’t help but stop and stare – neither in a good or bad way. Everything on the Mustang was just so backwards for me – the insane amount of front camber made it look like there was 0 camber in the rear…
The wing has been seen on other Mustangs before but you can see even from the rear that insane amount of front camber. Again, I’m neither hating or loving but it kind of goes to show you that there are things that can be done that you just never thought would be done…
Actual coverage tomorrow… I promise!
